The vibrant Misongi alumna Sarah made her way to Williams’ Catholic Leadership board. Sarah’s stay on her campus transcends radiating Misongi excellence: she will spend the remainder of her time at Williams leading the Catholic Student Community, loving and serving the Lord in everything.
Moreover, Sarah doubles as one of Williams’ junior advisors to the class of 2028.
Britney and Glory win 10,000$ at Conway’s Center inaugural Co-Innovate for Change Challenge at Smith.

Britney ’27 majors in Physics and Psychology, while Glory ’25 majors in Engineering, both at Smith’s College, Northampton, Massachusetts.
The innovative Misongi alumnae Britney and Glory exhibited one of Misongi’s core values, Teamwork, at their college’s JOYpalooza. They collaborated on an ingenious project, the Joy Incubator For Women, aimed at helping young single mothers in Cameroon. The alumnae were awarded 10,000$ by the Jill Ker Conway Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

Samuel Nkengla’s appealing acrylic piece was featured in Amherst’s Black art matters festival. The individualistic painting features a gray-blue human head on a bold blue and red background. Misongi alumni aren’t just academic gurus, they are talented, well-rounded individuals who aren’t afraid to showcase their skills on campus.

Maxwell Kumbong ’26, majors in Computer Science and Economics at Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania.
Misongi alumnus Maxwell made it to a dynamic team of student mentors at Swarthmore called CS ninjas. Maxwell helps decipher complex concepts for easy understanding and assimilation. In so doing, he not only portrays Misongi’s core value, service, but also manifests a spirit of empathy and love.
Nadia Khumbah joins the Linkages mentor program at the University of St. Thomas.

Nadia Khumbah ’25 majors in Neuroscience at the University Of St Thomas, Minnesota.
Nadia partook in St Thomas’ Linkages mentor program as a mentee. Believing that the program greatly helped her, she volunteered to serve the program as a mentor for future members. In this way, she evinced a Misongi core value, service.
Eltice Langmia becomes a 2024-25 Career Fellow.

Eltice Langmia ’25 majors in Biochemistry at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia.
Eltice has become a Career Fellow at her University. Career Fellows are a group of peer career advisors at Washington and Lee trained to introduce students to Career and Professional Development resources, help create and refine resumes and cover letters, and provide tips for navigating the job or internship search.
Eltice fosters Teamwork and Service on her campus. She is also part of the African Society, Student Association for International Learning, and Around the Globe at her University.
Valdine Pegou receives EGRID Gold Scholarship.
Valdine Pegou ‘25 majors in Computer Science at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan.
Taking Misongi excellence to another level, Valdine Pegou was among 160 outstanding students recognized for their academic achievements by Michigan State University’s College of Engineering and its corporate partners. The award took place during the Dean’s Showcase of Stars where more than $150,000 in scholarships were awarded to engaging Spartan engineers.
Aubin Bontse becomes a summer fellow at Furman University.

Aubin Bontse ’27 is majoring in Physics at Furman University, Greenville.
During summer, the driven Misongi alumnus Aubin worked as a Climate Resilience Fellow with the Shi Institute at Furman. He was drawn to this fellowship by his strong desire to learn the skills necessary for developing and implementing successful resilience strategies. Aubin hopes to use these skills in the future to build resilience in transportation and building infrastructure.
